I'd highly encourage you to learn more, as your statements in your reply belie a very simplistic understanding of philosophy and its relationship to science.
Without first order logic we wouldn't have computers. Boolean algebra, in other words the algebraic formulation of logical operators, was another necessary step in realizing computing/logic machines.
There's far more than I have time to delve into here: but no sophisticated thinker separates empiricism from its theoretical commitments as you appear to do. Put in the most pithy way, you couldn't have science with empiricism alone, you need a good dose of rationality and logic. If you want to look into the issues getting started with some problems in philosophy of science is a good start.
